NYC traffic incidents leave elderly man and 4-year-old boy dead

A man was struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver in Queens on Sunday night, sources said.

The 74-year-old man was struck by a black BMW at Myrtle and Seneca Avenues in Ridgewood, Queens at around 7:40 p.m., according to law enforcement sources.

The man, who was not identified on Sunday night, was declared dead at the scene. Police were searching for the driver of the BMW.

During a separate traffic incident in the Bronx, a 4-year-old boy was killed when he fell off a scooter.

The child was riding with his father on the back of a two-wheel scooter in Prospect Heights when a possible collision with a vehicle made him fall and strike his head at around 9:20 p.m.

The boy was taken to St.Barnabas Hospital, where he died.
