Watch Trump visit Texas-Mexico border with Gov. Greg Abbott

PHARR — Former President Donald Trump and Gov. Greg Abbott will be at the Texas-U.S. border Wednesday for a border security briefing with state officials and law enforcement. 

Trump and Abbott will also take a tour of the unfinished border wall in the Rio Grande Valley. 

Trump plans to join Abbott at the Texas Department of Public Safety facility in Weslaco for a briefing at 12 p.m. CT and then take a tour of part of the border barrier at an undisclosed location an hour later.

The two will then hold a town hall meeting, led by Fox News host Sean Hannity, at 2:15 p.m. CT at the DPS hangar in the South Texas International Airport in Edinburg. The town hall is for invited guests only.

Push for a wall at the border continues

Abbott has continued to press toward building a wall at the Texas-Mexican border. Lawmakers agreed to divert $250 million in funds toward the project, and an online portal to accept donations have been opened.
