  • Why the discovery of a Chinese balloon in US skies is such a big deal February 3, 2023
Tensions between the U.S. and China are on the rise again after the discovery of what the Biden administration is describing as a sophisticated Chinese espionage tool flying over the United States. The discovery of a massive Chinese surveillance balloon over Montana, which hosts some nuclear silos, sparked a diplomatic crisis on Friday, with Secretary...
  • Jordan subpoenas Garland, Wray over school board memo February 3, 2023
Editor's note: Virgin Islands Del. Stacey Plaskett is the top Democrat on a Judiciary subcommittee established by the GOP to examine the β€œweaponization” of the federal government. The information was incorrect in an earlier version of this story. The House Judiciary Committee fired off its first subpoenas under the leadership of Chair Jim Jordan (R-Ohio),...
  • 5 takeaways on a surprisingly strong jobs report February 3, 2023
The U.S. economy added 517,000 jobs in January, more than doubling Wall Street expectations and turning up its nose at prognosticators of an imminent recession. The unemployment rate dropped to 3.4 percent, the lowest level since 1969. Analysts were expecting it to move in the opposite direction, ticking up to 3.6 percent. The monthly jobs...

  • GOP lashes out at Biden, Pentagon as Chinese balloon hovers over US February 3, 2023

  1. Did you know that WWII Black veterans and descendants are STILL not allowed GI bill benefits? Can you imagine teaching WWII and GI Bill and not mentioning that 1 million Black veteran were excluded. There is a bill in the house and senate to change this. Authentic CRT seeks to uncover and remedy these inequities caused by systemic racism.

  2. You're wrong Harold, the president has the power and unilateral authority to determine what documents are personal and what documents are governmental. And if he decides they are personal records then the national archives have no authority to take them. That right was adjudicated by Judge Amy Berman Jackson in 2012 in favor of Bill Clinton. So yes, he can keep whatever documents he has, and he alone can decide which ones are personal. It's not up to the FBI or the National Archivist, it's up to Trump to make that call.

  3. I'll bet Al Bundy was better, he tells us all the time of his high school game, actually just like Joe does. You don't think Al Bundy's character is based on Joe Bundy, I mean Biden, do you? Probably not because Ed O'Neill actually did have a tryout with, someone out there correct me if I'm wrong, the Pittsburgh Steelers! Did Joe ever get a tryout? Seems to me Joe made his money through his corrupt son, doing deals for his influentially corrupt father using his vice presidential status with the actual enemy's of the United States who now has Joe in their back pockets and is a now a forever slave to China!
