As a support staff school employee who doesn't get any wages during the Summer, Christmas, and Spring break. Most if not married with a working spouse have to try to get a job for those 2 1/2 months to make ends meet in the Summer. Many of us live close to paycheck to paycheck. $2,000 could make the difference between making ends meet or the streets. Many of us went to college and payed for it by working more than one job while attended classes. We work in the education field because we have a heart for children and helping them learn. Most definitely not for the money. If those in politics truly want to know how their asinine plans affect the every day, hard working, raising families live, get out of your glass bubble and actually live our life for one month. Drive our used cars. Raise a family. Pay our bills, on time. While you up there in Washington slip it out of our pockets. That is why you are losing teachers and other great workers. Lack of respect and your constant lies.
