If you have to factor in replacing your EV's battery at least once during the time you own it, the cost of your electric car is really at least 70 thousand dollars not 50 thousand. In addition the battery is huge. It covers the bottom of your car. So my question is why do politicians think average people can afford electric cars? I also wonder what dumping all of these large batteries when they are no longer any good will do to the environment?
