Rep. Crenshaw: This is the destruction of democracy

Rep. Dan Crenshaw, R-Texas, joined ‘Fox & Friends' to discuss the aftermath of the Trump raid and lingering questions that remain. #FoxNews

DAN CRENSHAW: When we retake the House in November, this is the kind of oversight that we will be doing. That's why he said clear your calendar, Merrick Garland, because you're coming and you better have your documents ready and you better have explanations ready for the American people, because you cannot weaponize our institutions for political gain. That is the destruction of democracy. For all the talk we hear about Democrats being worried about the fall of our democracy and trying to prevent threats to our democracy, this is a threat to our democracy when you threaten the sanctity of our institutions and make people lose faith in them. That is one of the worst things you can do, because we do need our institutions, and we need to be able to trust them.

That’s intensified debates within the left about who might be the best faces to succeed them. Sanders and Warren could both still run […]

  1. Do something try the Democrats for destroying a America. Stop all the talk. Do something get all the attorneys that are against the Democrats and take the Democrats to court

  2. There can be no trust when all you get is lies. Tired of people thinking people are willing to die for Trump. Ever think about people willing to die for their country?

  3. They asked for them in the spring smart guy. Trump did not give the documents so he left them no choice. Come seal do your homework. You guys are playing both sides on this. One conservatives says if the the documents were so secret why did it take them so long to get them from when they asked 6 months ago. The other says why did they have to be so aggressive. Come on guys get your story’s right. The FBI knew what this would become and that it was unprecedented. They did it the right way, they asked, they asked again, and then they were left no choice. The AG know well enough how this could look if it does not produce anything tangible. This is the end of the road jack, I don’t think he would gamble on something like that. But I could be wrong:)

  4. Trump gave them all the documents to the FBI. 50 boxes of released documents in January. The FBI has been compromised by Agents that left the FBI and are beginning to talk about Their reasons to leave. The FBI should be dismantled now. After that replaced with the true patriotic past agents that left to get away from it's leaders that have politicized it's mismanagement of political controls.
