  1. The heated debate between Tom Cruise and Matt Lauer an important one as it truly demonstrates the schizophrenic nature of mental health advocacy itself.

Although Tom presented an anti-drug argument based on facts, and Matt did not dispute those as being false, Matt’s pro-drug argument was based on the experience of knowing individuals who claim to benefit from taking psych meds. It is an argument in which both sides are correct.

In my opinion, Tom’s argument only became weak when he was asked by Matt as to what he felt the alternatives to psych drugs were and his reply was only “exercise and vitamins”, which does work for some situations but not all.

I think the lack of awareness among pro-psychiatry advocates on what the alternatives are, keeps organizations like NAMI pushing for an agenda of forced treatment, while turning a blind eye towards the great harm being done.

  2. Everything is simple. Psychology is good. Psychiatry is evil. Therefore, Karolis Paplevkinas is an unofficial psychologist. Many people lump psychology and psychiatry into the same category. But this is not always right. L. Ron Hubbard does it right. Because he knew what he was doing. How much can a person on planet Earth know. However, I am interested in another point. Channeling psychology to help people. And the condemnation of psychiatry.

  3. The elephant in the room is that they didn't mention Dopamine or Norepinephrine. When I was in school it was the reigning theory that those two chemicals may be more important in explaining the chemical imbalance in depression. Those, along with Serotonin are what are released with physical activity, which is why vigorous exercise helps people with depression.

  4. I was on antidepressants for 6 MONTHS, in hopes of helping chronic migraines. Then I started believing I could read people's thoughts. Yikes. Took me 3 YEARS to get off them. Poison

  5. Tom was partially right. Riddiline makes drug addicts. And anti depressants do more harm to some people than do good. But I think some people do need it tho.

  6. Ritalin and Adderall are abused and a disgusting thing we are doing to our children!!! ADHD is a contrived condition and is making big Pharma billions of dollars!!!

  7. Looks like Tom Cruise was right all along! Evidence proving there's no such thing as a chemical imbalance in the brain. People with common sense always knew you were correct Tom
